The story of Sambolino...

If you are a member of the Sambolino family, please read the following story. 

I am not sure why I got the nickname of Sambolino, nor am I sure when, but I do know who gave it to me:   In the mid-80s, on a camping trip to the desert outside of Jacumba, California, my friends Dave and RB were with me.  RB (Rosemary Braun) is from an Italian family with roots in Grand Rapids, Minnesota (where Judy Garland was born).  As I recall, as we sat around the campfire, I recanted a Three Stooges song dealing with the alphabet.  We think THIS is where my nickname originated... somehow.

Periodically I get emails from people asking me about my name.  Recently Pierluigi Sambolino (pictured below) contacted me about it as well.  Pierluigi states that the number of members of the Sambolino family is only around 30 or so.  So, if you are a true Sambolino and found this website looking to connect with your family, please email Pierluigi at pierluigi.sambolino@gmail.com or Rafaella at pioggia64@gmail.com.
